兵庫県、淡路島民泊規制を強化 / Hyogo Tightens Private Lodging Rules on Awaji Island

兵庫県のさいとう知事が、淡路島での民泊規制強化を発表しました。住民から騒音やゴミ出しの苦情が多かったためです。特にスタッフが常駐しない非常駐型について、住民との事前合意や標識設置、ルール説明などを義務づけ、全国でも厳しい水準にします。観光と住民の暮らしの両立が大切だと思います。東京の新宿区でも住宅地の民泊原則禁止の動きがあります。以前はどこのコンビニも無料でトイレの設置がありましたが、最近は外国人トイレの使用の仕方違いなどで清掃の時間が増え使用禁止にするところが増えていると聞きました。

多文化共存という押しつけは、これ以上は日本人の生活を脅かすと思います。これを差別という人は多分、密航とか出稼ぎでやってきた人達なのではと勘ぐってしまいます。

Hyogo Prefecture Strengthens Minpaku Regulations on Awaji Island

Hyogo Governor Saito has announced stricter regulations on minpaku (private lodging accommodations) on Awaji Island. This is in response to numerous complaints from residents about noise and garbage disposal. In particular, for unstaffed accommodations where no staff members are stationed on-site, the new rules will require prior agreement with local residents, the posting of signs, explanations of the rules, and other measures. The regulations will be among the strictest in Japan.

I believe it is important to strike a balance between tourism and the daily lives of local residents. In Shinjuku Ward, Tokyo, there are also moves to generally prohibit minpaku in residential areas.

In the past, nearly every convenience store provided free restrooms. Recently, however, I have heard that more stores are prohibiting restroom use because differences in how some foreign visitors use the facilities have increased the time required for cleaning.

I believe that the forced imposition of “multicultural coexistence” is now threatening the daily lives of Japanese people. When I hear people call these concerns discriminatory, I cannot help but suspect that they may be people who came to Japan illegally or as migrant workers seeking employment.
