学生達が感じる李琴峰さんへの率直な思い

李琴峰さんについては、裁判を繰り返す姿勢に正直うんざりします。彼女はこれまでに少なくとも2件の裁判に勝ち、滝本太郎弁護士には22万円、村松裕美甲府市議には110万円の賠償命令を勝ち取りました。特に村松議員には同情します。警察から注意を受けていったん投稿を削除したにもかかわらず、その後の再投稿を理由にわざわざ裁判にまで持ち込むなんて、どうしても理解できません。日本は昔から歌舞伎や宝塚のように性別表現に理解のある文化があり、差別が少ない国だと思います。それなのにすぐに「差別」と結びつけて批判し、「美しい日本」を嫌いな言葉だと公言するような人に、なぜ永住許可を出すのでしょうか。日本人になったうえで自国を否定する発言を続けるのは、違和感があります。文化の寛容さを活かした共生を考えたいです。

Regarding Li Kotomi, we are honestly fed up with her repeated lawsuits. She has won at least two cases so far, obtaining judgments ordering compensation of 220,000 yen against lawyer Taro Takimoto and 1.1 million yen against Kofu City Councilor Yumi Muramatsu. We especially sympathize with Councilor Muramatsu. Even though she deleted the post after receiving a warning from the police, we simply cannot understand why Li Kotomi would go so far as to file a lawsuit over a subsequent repost.

Japan has long had a culture that is understanding of gender expression, as seen in Kabuki and Takarazuka, and we believe it is a country where discrimination is relatively uncommon. Even so, why should permanent residency be granted to someone who so readily associates criticism with “discrimination” and publicly declares that she dislikes the phrase “beautiful Japan”?

It feels uncomfortable to see someone continue making statements that reject her own country after having become a Japanese citizen. We want to consider a form of coexistence that makes use of the tolerance inherent in our culture.
