日本版DOGEは、効果の低い租税特別措置や補助金、基金を見直す取り組みですが、評判が芳しくない点があります。2026年7月に各省庁の自己点検結果が出そろったところ、対象約120件のうち明確な廃止方針はわずか1件（企業の事業再編にかかる登録免許税の軽減、実績なし）にとどまり、片山財務相も「満足いくものではない」と指摘しました。こども家庭庁は2026年6月16日に、日本版DOGEを受けて予算の「全部見える化」や効果検証不十分な委託事業の廃止を表明しましたが、国民から「中抜きが疑われる」などの意見が寄せられていた経緯があります。LGBTやジェンダー平等関連の具体的な大規模廃止事例は公式に目立っていませんが、全体として見直しが不十分との批判が強く、財源捻出への期待とのギャップが指摘されています。国民が納得できるお金の使い方を片山大臣、ぜひお願いします。

Japan’s version of DOGE is an initiative to review special tax measures, subsidies, and funds that are not very effective. However, the initiative has not received a favorable response. When the results of self-assessments by the various ministries and agencies were compiled in July 2026, only one of the approximately 120 items under review had a clear policy for abolition: a reduction in registration and license tax for corporate business restructuring, which had not been used in practice. Finance Minister Satsuki Katayama also pointed out that the results were “not satisfactory.”

On June 16, 2026, the Children and Families Agency announced, in response to Japan’s version of DOGE, that it would make its entire budget transparent and abolish commissioned projects whose effectiveness had not been adequately verified. However, this came against a background in which members of the public had raised concerns, including suspicions of “money being siphoned off by intermediaries.”

Although no prominent official cases of large-scale abolition specifically involving LGBT or gender equality programs have emerged, criticism remains strong that the reviews as a whole have been insufficient. The gap between these results and public expectations that funding would be secured has also been pointed out.

Minister Katayama, I sincerely ask you to ensure that public money is spent in ways that the people can accept.
